Poetry is always a stretch for me but, inspired by a great workshop by Ed Wright from The Creative Word Shop, this emerged!
‘When I’m not writing, I’m knitting’
My mind is tangled yarn.
I rip my knitting off its needles.
Wool trails from the bin onto the floor,
where lie the fragments of paper from unfinished drafts,
where the vacuum cleaner can no longer go.
If I leave,
If I close the door,
Will my mind unravel?
